Sudowrite is an AI-assisted writing platform built around fiction and long-form storytelling, combining story planning, context-aware drafting, manuscript editing, brainstorming, and project-level story memory rather than focusing on general business or marketing content.

1. Story context: Story Bible stores elements such as genre, style, synopsis, characters, worldbuilding, and outlines as shared context for the project. Chapter Continuity can also link sequential chapters so tools such as Write and Draft can draw on earlier manuscript text when generating new material.
2. Fiction drafting: Write can continue existing prose automatically or follow the writer’s guidance, while Scenes and Draft turn chapter plans into generated prose, including chapter drafts of roughly 3,000–5,000 words or more. Sudowrite’s fiction-focused Muse model is the default model for Write and Draft and also powers Expand.
3. Editing and manuscript assistance: Describe develops sensory detail, Rewrite changes existing prose, Expand builds out short passages, and Quick Edit applies natural-language editing instructions to selected text. Sudowrite’s project-aware Chat can also read Story Bible information and manuscript documents; with editing enabled, it can modify documents, update Story Bible entries, leave comments, and propose plans for larger multi-step revisions.
4. Planning and ideation: Brainstorm generates options for areas such as plot twists, names, characters, powers, and worldbuilding. Canvas provides a visual workspace for arranging notes and generating structured outlines using formats including Story Circle and the Hero’s Journey.
