From enquiry to a live placement — and what each step does not do.
No part of this process changes how your software scores or where it ranks. A campaign adds a labelled placement; it never touches the organic result.

Confirm eligibility
Sponsorship needs an active vendor account, verified ownership, a published listing and a live website. We check this with you first.
Step 2
Choose an eligible Buyer Guide
Not every guide is open to every listing. We confirm which guides your software qualifies for.
Step 3
Check availability
A guide carries one sponsored header placement, so availability depends on the guide and the dates you want.
Step 4
Hold the placement
A hold reserves the slot temporarily while you decide. It takes no payment and it creates no public placement.
Step 5
Complete secure checkout
Payment is taken on our payment provider’s secure hosted page. We never handle your card details.
Step 6
SoftFinders reviews and approves
Eligibility is revalidated after payment. Payment does not guarantee approval, and it never buys editorial coverage.
Step 7
Scheduled, live, then finished
An approved campaign is scheduled, activates at its start time as a clearly labelled placement, and ends at its end time.
Two products, two reports — never mixed.
Campaign reporting answers “how did this placement perform?”. Profile Insights answers “how is my listing doing?”. They are separate reporting scopes with separate metrics.

Is listing my software free?
Yes. Authenticated users may submit software and claim an existing listing without paying. Every submission and claim is reviewed by SoftFinders, and non-AI software is not accepted.
How do I claim my software?
Search for the published listing and submit a claim confirming you represent the product. Our team reviews every claim before granting ownership. Profile Management is not required to claim.
What can I do without paying?
You can submit software, claim an eligible listing, see ownership status, and report a narrow factual correction. Full listing editing, images, demo video, review replies, analytics and sponsorship stay paid or separate.
What is the Early Founder Pack?
An optional purchase for a single software profile. It covers managing your product information and description, your listing images, an approved logo, the demo link shown on your dedicated demo page, moderated public replies to reviews, and Profile Insights where enabled. It is separate from Buyer Guide sponsorship.
Does the Early Founder Pack renew?
No. It is a one-time purchase per software profile and there is no automatic renewal. The current price is confirmed in your vendor dashboard before you pay.
Do I need the Early Founder Pack to sponsor a Buyer Guide?
No. They are independent products. Sponsorship does not require the Early Founder Pack, and the pack does not include sponsorship.
What sponsorship does SoftFinders currently offer?
Sponsorship of selected Buyer Guides. A guide carries one sponsored header placement, so availability is limited and varies by guide and by date. Eligibility and approval apply.
Can I sponsor the homepage, a category, Trending or Top Rated?
Not currently. You may see sponsored modules on those pages, but they are not vendor-purchasable products — Buyer Guide sponsorship is the only sponsorship we sell to vendors today.
Does paying affect my SF Score or where I rank?
No. Neither sponsorship nor the Early Founder Pack influences SF Score, organic ranking, Editor’s Picks, Trending, Top Rated, comparisons, reviews or recommendations. Paid placements are shown separately and always labelled.
What happens after a campaign payment?
Payment is not approval. After a verified payment we revalidate eligibility and review the campaign. Only an approved campaign is scheduled, and it becomes publicly visible when it activates at its start time.
What can campaign reporting measure?
Impressions, clicks, click-through rate, estimated reach, attributed profile visits, attributed website clicks and attributed demo opens, broken down by placement and date range. We do not report conversions, leads, revenue, location or search terms.
Are sponsored placements always labelled?
Yes. Every sponsored placement is marked Sponsored, carries its own disclosure, and is presented separately from organic and editorial results.
