  2. AI capabilities: MaintainX uses several distinct AI features. MaintainX Assist searches asset manuals, work-order summaries, procedures, and internal maintenance knowledge to answer questions, troubleshoot equipment, and generate or improve work instructions. Separate AI features flag anomalous meter or procedure readings and estimate job duration from historical work orders. Assist, anomaly detection, and Smart Time Estimates are currently Enterprise features, while the standalone AI Procedure Generator is available across Basic, Essential, Premium, and Enterprise plans.
  3. Mobile field execution: technicians can create and complete work orders, add photos and notes, log time and parts, and scan QR codes or barcodes to identify assets, locations, and inventory. Offline mode caches eligible work orders on the device so technicians can continue updating them without connectivity and synchronize changes after reconnecting; it does not provide unrestricted offline access to every MaintainX record or function.
  4. Commercial considerations: Basic is free. Essential currently costs $20 per user per month when billed annually ($25 monthly), while Premium costs $65 annually billed ($75 monthly). Enterprise uses custom pricing and adds capabilities including MaintainX Assist, Asset Health Insights, Resource Planning, IoT sensor integrations, advanced permissions, SSO, and multi-site controls.
