What is HxGN EAM?

HxGN EAM is Hexagon’s enterprise asset management platform for asset-intensive organizations, covering asset lifecycle management, maintenance execution, materials and procurement, inspections, reliability, risk, asset performance, and long-term investment planning.

1. Maintenance and asset operations: organizations can maintain equipment hierarchies and histories, manage work orders and preventive maintenance, control parts and stores, handle purchasing, inspections, projects, budgets, and reporting, and separate data and permissions across multiple organizations.
2. Mobile and reliability workflows: HxGN EAM Mobile supports field access to work orders, requests, meter readings, equipment, inspections, checklists, and inventory, including offline operation with synchronization after connectivity returns. Beyond routine maintenance, HxGN EAM supports Reliability-Centered Maintenance, risk analysis, FMECA, condition-based inspections, and root-cause analysis.
3. Asset performance and investment planning: optional advanced capabilities extend the platform beyond a conventional CMMS. Asset Investment Planning uses future budgets, equipment investment options, and capital requests to calculate optimized multi-year investment plans, while inspection and reliability functions can use asset condition, criticality, and failure information to guide maintenance decisions.
4. Commercial and deployment considerations: HxGN EAM uses modular product access rather than a single uniform license. Hexagon separately identifies access for core EAM, Requestor, Analytics, Mobile, Connector, Barcoding, Advanced Mobile, Mobile Requestor, Lite User, and Author or Consumer reporting. Documentation also supports both SaaS and on-premises environments, so licensing, mobile requirements, integrations, and deployment architecture should be scoped with Hexagon.

HxGN EAM is most relevant to large or operationally complex organizations that need maintenance execution and materials management alongside reliability engineering, multi-organization governance, asset performance management, and longer-term capital planning.
