Overview
What is CloudTalk?
CloudTalk is a cloud business phone system for sales and customer-support teams that combines inbound and outbound calling, call routing, automated dialers, CRM integrations, analytics, Conversation Intelligence, and AI Voice Agents. Teams can make and receive calls through browser, desktop, or mobile apps and use local numbers across more than 160 countries.
- Calling and routing: CloudTalk supports IVR menus, skill-based and caller-based routing, call transfers, callbacks, campaigns, and multiple outbound dialing modes, including Power, Smart, Preview, and Parallel Dialers. Native integrations connect calling activity with systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zendesk, Intercom, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and other CRM, help-desk, and sales platforms.
- Conversation Intelligence: Recorded calls can be automatically transcribed and supplemented with AI-generated summaries and notes. CloudTalk's Conversation Intelligence also provides sentiment analysis, extracted and trending topics, talk-to-listen ratios, and configurable call scoring, with supported insights exportable to several CRM integrations. Call recording must be enabled for these conversation-intelligence features to populate.
- AI Voice Agents: CloudTalk VoiceAgents can be configured separately for inbound or outbound calls. They can answer questions using an uploaded or URL-based knowledge base, collect structured caller information, qualify leads, book appointments, transfer conversations to human agents, and use configurable Tools to read from or update external systems through API requests. Outbound VoiceAgent calls can also be triggered programmatically from a CRM or another external system.
- Commercial considerations: CloudTalk charges for its core phone-system seats, while several capabilities are packaged as add-ons or higher-tier features. AI Conversation Intelligence is currently a separately priced per-user add-on, and AI Voice Agents use their own minute-based packages; dialers can also carry separate charges depending on the selected plan. Buyers should therefore model seat count, calling destinations and usage, integrations, dialer requirements, AI-analysis adoption, and VoiceAgent minutes rather than comparing only the base subscription price.
CloudTalk is most relevant to sales and support organizations that want international business calling, CRM-connected workflows, human-agent analytics, and autonomous voice automation within the same communications stack. Its value depends on call volume, geographic coverage, CRM requirements, automation needs, and whether the organization needs conventional agents, AI-assisted analysis, VoiceAgents, or a combination of all three.
