Odoo Maintenance is an equipment maintenance application within the Odoo business suite for planning and tracking preventive and corrective work on machines, tools, and manufacturing work centers. Its main advantage is the direct connection between maintenance records and Odoo’s manufacturing environment.
- Maintenance workflow: teams can create requests for equipment or work centers, assign maintenance teams and responsible technicians, set priorities, scheduled dates, duration, and instructions, and move work through a drag-and-drop Kanban process. Requests can also prevent new work from being scheduled at an affected work center while maintenance is underway.
- Preventive maintenance metrics: Odoo automatically tracks MTBF, MTTR, latest failure, and estimated next failure for equipment. The estimated next-failure date is calculated from the latest failure date and historical MTBF rather than generated by an AI predictive-maintenance model, making these primarily maintenance-planning statistics based on recorded history.
- Manufacturing connection: production teams can initiate maintenance directly from work centers, and requests can be linked to the manufacturing order and work order where a problem occurred. Equipment assigned to a work center remains visible alongside its technician, category, MTBF, MTTR, and estimated next-failure information.
- Commercial considerations: Odoo Maintenance follows Odoo’s suite pricing rather than having a separate maintenance subscription. Organizations using only one Odoo app can use the One App Free plan with unlimited users on Odoo Online; Standard provides the broader app suite on Odoo Online, while Custom adds options such as external API access, Odoo Studio, Odoo.sh, and on-premise deployment.
