Pictory

Pictory is a cloud-based AI video creation and editing platform for marketers, educators, creators, and business teams. It can turn scripts, prompts, webpages, audio recordings, PowerPoint presentations, and existing video into edited content with visuals, narration, captions, and branding.

1. Video creation: Pictory can generate or refine scripts, divide content into scenes, match scenes with stock or AI-generated visuals, add music, captions, AI voices, and avatars, and produce videos from text, URLs, audio, existing footage, or PPT/PPTX presentations. Its media library includes Getty Images and Storyblocks content, while ElevenLabs voices are available across its paid plans with different usage allowances.
2. Editing and repurposing: the AI Video Editor transcribes uploaded footage so users can edit by changing the transcript, remove filler words and silences, create captions, add B-roll, change aspect ratios, and generate summaries or multiple shorter clips from longer recordings. This makes Pictory useful for both generating new videos and repurposing webinars, podcasts, interviews, and other existing content.
3. Pictory 2.0 and generative AI: Pictory 2.0, launched in March 2026, expanded the platform with generative images and video, AI avatars, advanced editing, and additional brand controls. Custom avatar cloning and instant voice cloning were added later and are currently limited to Professional, Team, and Enterprise plans; Pictory also expanded avatar layouts, multilingual workflows, and video translation during 2026.
4. Commercial considerations: current monthly pricing is $29 for Starter, $59 for Professional, and $199 for Team, with Enterprise priced by quote; annual billing lowers the effective rates. Plans scale by video minutes, storage, Brand Kits, ElevenLabs voice minutes, AI-generation credits, avatar usage, advanced AI tools, and collaboration. API access is sold separately through dedicated self-service and Enterprise API plans rather than being included as a standard entitlement in the regular video-creation tiers.

Pictory is most relevant to teams that want to automate a substantial portion of scripting, visual selection, narration, captioning, and repurposing while retaining browser-based control over the final video.
