Bosch IoT Suite

Bosch IoT Suite is a family of Bosch products and services for IoT device management, IoT data management, software distribution, and edge computing. Its current portfolio includes Bosch IoT Remote Manager, Bosch IoT Rollouts, Bosch IoT Insights, Bosch IoT Edge Agent, and Bosch IoT Edge Services, with several components built on or connected to Bosch-backed Eclipse open-source projects such as Kanto, Ditto, hawkBit, and Hono.

1. Device operations: Bosch IoT Rollouts, whose open-source core is Eclipse hawkBit, manages software and firmware distribution from individual devices to large rollout campaigns with target groups, monitoring, repositories, and update history. Bosch IoT Remote Manager handles provisioning, configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, software management, and other fleet-management tasks and is available as dedicated SaaS or for on-premises/private-cloud deployment.
2. Data and edge: Bosch IoT Insights ingests, processes, normalizes, enriches, stores, analyzes, and visualizes device data in a managed cloud service. Edge Agent provides MQTT cloud connectivity, local messaging, software updates, OCI container management, and local execution of analytics or machine-learning workloads, while Edge Services adds broader device-protocol connectivity, local rules, history, storage, and data transformation.
3. Implementation checks: buyers should assess supported device protocols, fleet size, update and rollback requirements, edge hardware and operating environment, data volumes, cloud-versus-on-premises architecture, APIs, security, and integration with existing cloud and enterprise systems. Buyers migrating older Bosch deployments should also note that the former Bosch IoT Device Management offering was discontinued after Bosch’s cloud-provider migration program, so current requirements should be mapped to the actively offered services rather than older Suite packages.
4. Commercial considerations: pricing and packaging vary by service rather than following one Bosch IoT Suite subscription. Bosch publishes evaluation and plan structures for products including IoT Rollouts, IoT Insights, and Remote Manager; some services support free trials, usage-based scaling, or defined service tiers, while production pricing for many configurations is provided through Bosch sales. Remote Manager also has distinct dedicated-SaaS and customer-operated deployment options.
